The Barbara Bush Texas Fund For Family Literacy In grateful response to loyal support from the Texas community for the work of her Foundation, Mrs. Bush created the Barbara Bush Texas Fund for Family Literacy as a sister organization to the Foundation. The Texas Fund is a separate 501(c)3 umbrella entity which funds Texas grantmaking initiatives: the First Lady's Family Literacy Initiative for Texas, of which First Lady Laura Bush serves as Honorary Chair; Barbara Bush Fellows, administered by The Center for Advancement for Literacy and Learning at Texas A&M University (TCALL); and the Barbara Bush Literacy Corps and the Reading Discovery Program (programs of the George Bush Presidential Library at Texas A&M).
