Every year, supporters gather in four US cities to celebrate the cause that Barbara Bush holds most dear - helping families learn to read, write, and comprehend. The annual fundraising event for the Foundation, A Celebration of Reading, is held in Houston and Dallas, Texas, and also in Bethesda, Maryland. The Foundation also participates in the Volunteer USA Celebration Florida, with proceeds supporting the Florida Family Literacy Initiative. Please see the information below on each event and join us in support of literacy!
The next Celebration of Reading Dallas will be held on Monday, November 8, 2010. Our confirmed authors are Mrs. Laura Bush, Dr. Condoleezza Rice, Jeff Kinney, Donovan Campbell and Leila Meacham.
