UPDATED: Ambassador of Literacy: USS George H. W. Bush

Doro Bush Koch, founder of The Maryland Initiative of the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy is partnering the Foundation with the USS George H. W. Bush CVN77 to put on the first Celebration of Reading at Sea on May 1, 2010.  As the ship sponsor, Doro, decided that literacy would be a part of the fabric of this great ship as reading, and literacy in all its forms, are at the heart of what it means to be truly free. In short, reading is freedom. To read more about the Celebration of Reading at Sea and how the USS George H. W. Bush is serving as the Ambassador of Literacy, click HERE.
